A contract should have a strong timeline of how long the project will take every day from start to finish. A contract should have not only a blueprint, but it should also have a detailed schedule from start to finish. This should be kept in an organized place along with your receipts, payments, etc.

6.) Be prepared for everything

 While this sounds like a very broad statement, it is very realistic. No matter what type of renovation you are doing, have a plan. Like previously stated, you need to make firm choices.
